Azerbaijan will soon name its Eurovision-2012 representative

Weeks of the Azerbaijani public selecting who will represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision-2012 will end on Jan. 28. The last semi-finalist will be revealed on national television on this Saturday, the official website of Eurovision-2012 said on Friday.

The winner will continue to compete in the semi-finals, the date of which will be announced soon.

Staging of the national selection began on November 28 on public television with nine artists involved each week. One performer per week had the right to go on to the next qualifying round by the votes of viewers and judges.

Seven semi-finalists are known at the moment. They are Orhan Kerimli, Maryam Sadikhov, Khayyam Mustafa, Fagan Safarov, Elton Ibragimov, Adil Bahyshly and Sabina Babayeva. The name of the last semi-finalist will be known tomorrow.
