Baku hosts Regional Communication Union’s meeting

The 27th meeting of the commission of the Communication Economy of Regional Communication Unit (RCU) has today kicked off in Baku. A wide spectrum of issues is expected to consider within the framework of 2-day meeting to be attended by deputy minister of communication and information technologies Iltimas Mammadov.

Event participants will discuss outcomes of 2010 budget of RCU, economic relations system in ICT sphere, tariff policy in communications sphere and its methodology, proposals on regulating opportunities of roaming tariffs in the CIS countries, development and improvement of financial services in post offices, main directions of development mechanisms of universal services, development strategies of communications and IT sphere and etc.

Azerbaijani side will deliver speeches on development of information and communication technologies in the country, realization of project on development of financial services, as well as universal telecommunication services.
