Azerenergy continues reconstruction of Azerbaijan TPP

JSC Azerenergy is conducting start-up work on the first power unit of the Azerbaijan thermal power plant (TPP), the JSC said.

Also current repairs on the fifth power unit and reconstruction work on the second and eighth units have been carried out.

As a result power limiting was eliminated - at 80 megawatts on the second and eighth units, 40 megawatts on the fifth unit, 15 megawatt on the sixth unit and 30 megawatts at the seventh unit. After the conducted work the technical condition and techno-economic indicators of power units improved.

Also, within the reconstruction work the construction of six reserve fuel oil storage tanks with a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters each has been completed. Steel concrete slabs and electric motors of rotating mechanisms on the Upper Karabakh canal have been repaired.

Azerbaijan TPP consists of eight power units with capacity of 300 megawatts each.
