IMF Article IV Consultation Mission discussed in Baku

The sides discussed economic results of 2010 in Azerbaijan and priorities for 2011, including macroeconomic situation of the country, current state of the banking sector and strategy of the course policy of the Central Bank.

On role of the Central Bank in ensuring economic growth in Azerbaijan and financial stability, Mr. Ilahi touched on diversification of the country's economy.

Mr. Rustamov briefed about medium and long-term course strategy of the Central Bank and strengthening of the financial stability.

The sides also exchanged views on IMF Article IV Consultation Mission.
