
The Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry's National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support (NFES) has announced a contest on investment projects to finance priority areas in the Barda region, the ministry said.
During an event held in Barda on Jan. 28 as a part of a state program to support entrepreneurship in the regions, talks were held with the local authorities and entrepreneurs on the efficient use of the city's economic capacity. The talks identified the following economic development priorities:
- Construction of a refrigeration warehouse meeting current requirements to store fruit, vegetables and other food products with a capacity of five tons per year;
- Creation of an enterprise to produce sliced meat with the use of new technology capacity of 5,000 tons per year.
The fund is open for offers from business entities via authorized credit organizations from Feb. 1.
