Ukraine plans to buy 2 billion cubic meters gas from Azerbaijan

Ukraine will buy 2 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan by 2014 and this volume will rise to 5 billion cubic meters in 2015, head of the working group “National Projects” of the economic reforms committee, Vladislav Kaskiv said.

Ukraine and Azerbaijan signed a memorandum on cooperation in compressed gas transport through the territory of Ukraine on January 28.

Kaskiv added that they plan to increase supplies of compressed gas to 7 billion cubic meters annually in 2017. The official emphasized that Ukraine is also considering other gas sources.
