
The Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry held a meeting of board in connection with work to be undertaken in the future based on President Ilham Aliyev's orders following the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the socio-economic development in 2010 and the challenges ahead in 2011, the ministry reported.
The ministry's meeting discussed issues such as ensuring macroeconomic stability in 2011, keeping inflation at the one-mark level, strengthening control on the consumer market, improving the business environment, prevention of unjustified interference in business activities, increasing attention to the development of small and medium enterprises and increasing the export potential into new markets, as well as continuation of implementation of infrastructure projects, and since 2011 was announced the Year of Tourism - acceleration of work in this area and the development of this sector, etc.
Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev gave specific orders on implementation of tasks assigned to the Ministry. The meeting also decided to prepare an action plan to fulfill President Aliyev's orders.
