Azerbaijan increases oil expors via BTC

SOCAR says 37 mln tons of oil was transported via BTC during January-December, 2010, up 2.2% in comparison to a year ago. Totally, 143.5 mln tons of oil was pumped in BTC since the pipeline was launched.

Besides, 215 640 tons of Turkmen oil was transported via BTC in December, 2010. This index was 1.27 mln tons in January-December, 2010.

BTC shareholders are: BP-Azerbaijan (30.1%), AzBTC (25%), Chevron (8.9%), Statoil (8.71%), TPAO (6.53%), ENI (5%), Total (5%), Itochu (3.4%), Inpex (2.5%), ConocoPhillips (2.5%) and Hess (2.36%).
