Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry, Central Bank create working group to eliminate cash payments of taxes and dues

Azerbaijan has approved an action plan of the Taxes Ministry to execute the state budget and implement the tasks assigned to the ministry in 2011, the ministry's Vergiler newspaper reported.

Taxes Minister Fazil Mammadov has approved the document, which provides for defining certain activities for the ministry's structures to implement a complex action plan.

The plan provides for the establishment of a joint working group together with representatives of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan to address cash payments, taxes, fees, rents, and to improve the regulatory framework to promote cashless payments. It also assumes the creation of a working group with the relevant government agencies to analyze tax reporting and payments to companies in which over 50% of the shares are state owned.
