Azerbaijan saw drop in gold production in November

100 kg of gold was produced in Azerbaijan in November. Production in November is lower than half of October production (200 kg) and 173 kg lower than that of August (273 kg), the State Statistics Committee said.

In January-November, gold production amounted to 1,700 kg. In 2009, the country produced 333 kg of gold. Thus, 2,033 kg of precious metal has been produced from July 2009, when the country first started commercial production of gold, up to December 1, 2010.

Silver production amounted to 1,000 kg in 11 months.
