"SOCAR to expand investment projects in Ukraine"

President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev on Tuesday met in Baku with a delegation headed by Ukraine's Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko, the company said in a statement.

Abdullayev said that Azerbaijan and Ukraine had established a high level of political, economic, scientific and cultural relation. According to him, regional energy projects carried out in Azerbaijan have great promise in ensuring energy security of Europe.

According to the Ukrainian Minister, his country is closely following Azerbaijani projects and it is interested in close cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector. The opening of filling station network by SOCAR in Ukraine represents a close partnership between the two countries, said Boyko.

President of SOCAR, in turn, said that in future the company would expand its investment projects in Ukraine.
