Azerbaijan ups meat imports by 4%

Azerbaijan imported 15,438 tons of meat and meat products worth $144 million in January-October 2010, the State Customs Committee said. So, meat products imports raised by 4.1% compared to the same period of 2009.  

Meanwhile, 186.6 tons of meat worth $186,500 was provided in humanitarian aid. The indicators for July, August, September and October remained unchanged.

In 2009, Azerbaijan imported 18,379 tons of meat and meat products worth $14,070, 75.7 percent of total meat imports for 2008.
