URS Federal Services International opens representative office in Azerbaijan

A representative office of the U.S. corporation URS Federal Services International was registered in Azerbaijan in August through the "single window" system, the official website of the tax ministry said. Its parent is URS Federal Services International, Inc. The company representative is Azerbaijani citizen Zaur Aliyev.

The corporation provides project management, technical support, construction management, procurement, execution of design and structural development, integration, communications and logistics services within the projects implemented under the auspices of the U.S. government around the world.

Since 2000, URS provides services for design and construction for BP on two major pipelines: Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum. When working on these projects URS assesses impact of construction on the environment and people, archeology, hydrogeology, clean air, and so on.
