New pilot projects to be created between Norway and Azerbaijan universities

The issues of pilot projects in education sphere between the universities of Azerbaijan and Norway were discussed at the meeting held on Friday between deputy director of the CIS department of Norwegian Foreign Ministry Bard Svendsen and Ambassador to Azerbaijan Jon Ramberg with the rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages (JSA) Samad Seyidov.

Reportedly, Seyidov expressed his satisfaction with the expansion of ties with the Embassy of Norway. He stressed that the participation of teachers and students at JSA International Summer School of the University of Oslo has an important role in development cooperation.

In his turn, Svendsen underlined the possibility of implementing further pilot projects in conjunction with JSA, and stressed the importance of cooperation in this regard.

Ambassador J. Ranberg stressed the importance of passing the Azerbaijani students practice in the embassy. He noted that during the practice, students participated in all meetings and meetings of the embassy, and this practice, along with education, would increase their professionalism.

The meeting focused on details and specifics of the further planned pilot projects. It was decided to hold negotiations on the implementation of these projects.

In June and August this year 10 students and 9 teachers of JSA will participate in an international summer school of the University of Oslo.

Nordic Center operates in the JSA since 2007, with support from the Norwegian Embassy in Baku. In this center students regularly organize various courses.
