SOCAR sets date of commissioning of first filling station under its own brand

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will commission its first three filling stations in Baku May 7, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said.

Abdullayev said, that company will commission more nine own brand filling stations by late 2010.

So far, SOCAR has put into operation more than 30 petrol stations in Georgia. In 2010, the company plans to commission 30 more units.

The company also develops its activities in the retail market of petroleum products in Ukraine. Currently, SOCAR undertakes rebranding of about 20 gas stations in the country. Sale of petroleum products at these stations is expected to be launched in May.
