Azerbaijan will keep cutting Internet prices

Price of broadband Internet services will continue to decline in Azerbaijan, said Elmir Velizade, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies.

He added that the current prices are at the level of prices charged in the CIS area.

“Providers need time to make next wave of discounts. Each company makes every effort to provide quality services and the quality of broadband Internet is at an acceptable level,” he added.

Internet prices were last cut from AZN 130 to AZN 60 per 1 mbps on September 1.

The prices were down fivefold from early this year.
