Russia to charge Azerbaijan $200 per 1,000 cu m of gas

Russia intends to charge Azerbaijan $200 per 1,000 cu m of gas in 2007, Gazprom spokesman Sergey Kupriyanov said on air of Ekho Moskvy Radio.

He said the amount of gas supplies to this country will be significantly reduced.

He said Armenia will pay $110, Ukraine $130, Belarus and Georgia $230 per 1,000 cubic meters of Russia gas. Azerbaijan received 4.5 billion cu m of gas from Gasprom at a price of $110 per 1,000 cu m in 2006.

The SOCAR told APA that it has not received such a message yet, APA reports.
