Favorable balance of trade constituted $312.2mn in Azerbaijan in January-August

Favorable balance equaled $312 274 700 in exports and imports of Azerbaijan during January-August of the year.

Residents and nonresidents carried out trade operations of $7 003.914mn with 131 countries during this period.

State Customs Committee told that the exports stood at 3 958.0944mn and the imports made 3 345.8196mn.

Humanitarian goods of 17 618.2 tonnes amounting to $26.890mn were imported to the country through the state, governmental and international organizations. The exports rose by 70.47% on the same period of last year and imports rose 14.47% on the same period.

Temporary imports made up $23.1445mn and temporary imports stood at $217.7705mn.

Average monthly growth of exports and imports was $186694mn and $69.2416mn respectively.

As to the structure of the export, crude oil was 51.85%, oil products 30.35%, chemicals 3.53%, fruits and vegetables 1.95%, aluminum 1.30%, ferrous metals 0.94%, grease and vegetable oil 1.16%, cotton 0.75%, tobacco 0.43%, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages 0.26%.

As to the imports, the machinery and electronics apparatuses equipment and spare parts were 30.21%, oil gas and other hydrocarbons 9.50%, ferrous metals 8.78%, foodstuffs 7.68%, transport facilities and spare parts 16.19%, costumer goods 1.11, firewood 1.15%, chemist’s goods 0.97% and furniture 0.50%.

The portion of the state sector in the exportation was $2 434.6633mn and the portion of the private sector was $1 178.5875mn, APA reports.
