Azerbaijan ceased exporting mazut

SOCAR has stopped exporting mazut (black oil) from the country lately.

The reason is that Azerenergy OJC saves mazut for the winter use of thermal power plants, and SOCAR plans to increase the crude oil export through Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.

The monthly exportation of crude oil to Novorossiysk port will be reached 250 000 tonnes.

As APA reports, black oil export will be restored after enough black oil was reserved for winter.

SOCAR exported about 715 700 tones of black oil during January-July.
