Azerbaijan, Malaysia enhance ICT cooperation

On the sidelines of the summit of the Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development held in Kuala Lumpur, Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies met with Jamaluddin Jarjis, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation of Malaysia.

During the meeting Ali Abbasov highlighted the need for establishing and developing the ties, and said that Azerbaijan needs to use the experience of Malaysia, which leads the Southeast region in the information and communication technologies.

Jamaluddin Jarjis promised that Malaysian ministry will assist Azerbaijanis who desire to study in the Malaysian University of Information Technologies.

This year, two Azeris will purse baccalaureate degree in this University according to the earlier reached agreement.

There is also agreement in accordance with which Caucasian International University of Information Technologies, which is scheduled to be established in Azerbaijan, and Malaysian University of Information Technologies, will exchange teachers, students and experience.
