Reorganization before privatization of public enterprises

State Committee of Azerbaijan for Public Property Management (SCPPM) will make Restructure and Reorganization Program for the purposes of reorganization and restructuring of public properties before the privatization process, as well as for providing support for privatized enterprises.

The Program includes the expediency of privatization and the financial plan for required money. The process of restructuring does not envisage the liquidation or combination of any production unit, but the application of the strategically new modern management and technologies, changes and expansion in sort of production, deprivation of expenditures through financial and economic policy innovation, debt renewal and other pertinent issues.

As a result of consistent efforts by SCPPM, some normative documents are ready to be considered in relevant organs. The work of reorganization and restructuring will be mainly applied in production, processing and services, which are of utmost importance for nation's economy.

Besides, such enterprises making exportable or alternative-to-import products or using own materials for wide-market product making and meeting similar requirements will be the object of reorganization and restructuring process. Regarding analysis is already made by specialists in the Committee together with pilot projects expected and necessary measures on production activities, economic indicators and marketing researches are taken towards those enterprises.

Restructuring work is also provided in gas, water supply, sewerage system, heating and community facilities. International practice is made use of in the process. All done will lead to advance growth in the functions of the state in infrastructure and community services fields that will found commercial relations in those fields.

Besides, reorganization and restructuring work will lead to rehabilitation of enterprises in the short-run, together with implementation of new management styles, establishment of new production areas and rehabilitation of job places that will result in non-oil sector development and growth in industry potential of the country, APA reports.
