Huseyn Arabul: "Most of state officials have not yet paid their debts for electricity"

09 June 2006 [09:51] - TODAY.AZ
Despite notices of LLC Barmek Azerbaijan Energy Network, most of state officials who owe money for electricity have not yet paid it.

Talking about officials whose names he announced last year, Mr. Arabul has said that he is still exposed to pressure, APA reports.

"Some officers have houses in 24 places, offices and 12-storey buildings, none of which is registered on their own names. If the money is not paid, I break the light. They run to tax authorities or prosecutor's office then."

Mr. Arabul talked about his proposal before the Government.

"Current interruption in villages is not allowed by the Government. If it says this, then it must guarantee payment for the population there."

Arabul has also added that state authorities owe $144 million to Barmek whereas Barmek owes $103 million to Azerenergy.

"I have solved all my problems with taxes. But tax authorities still deny giving me a report on absence of my debts."
