Techno-parks to be created in Azerbaijan

Recommendations and recalls from 11 ministries and committees will be submitted to the government, officials of the Ministry of Communications and IT told Trend.

"Alongside, special group created within the ministry was working on the draft of law about techno-parks," the ministry officials said.

During the preparation of the law draft, experience of countries already operating such parks is being studied. Upon the completion of work, the document will be submitted to the appropriate instances for examination and, following the final discussion with governmental officials, to the parliament of the country.

The ministry officials anticipate that the law draft will be discussed in Milli Majlis in fall of this year.

As per the state program for ICT development in Azerbaijan in 2005-2008 (E-Azerbaijan) techno-parks are scheduled to establish by the year 2008.
