Tekhnikabank opened second branch in Sumgait

The Tekhnikabank Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) opened its second branch in Sumgait on Thursday.

The vice-chair of the Administrative Board of Tekhnikabank Khagani Guluzade told APA that the branch built in compliance with the strategic development plan of the Bank and meeting modern standards is situated in Sulh Street in Sumgait, near the central bus station: "Pursuant to the strategic development plan of the Bank for 2006-2008, all branches are planned to be constructed in the same manner and design. Foreign experts also participated in preparation of this plan in parallel with the Administrative Board of the Bank."

According to K.Guluzade, Tekhnikabank plans to establish branches in Zagatala, Tovuz and Shamakhi regions in 2006. The Bank has a network of 27 branches over through the republic at present and 17 of those branches are located in the capital.

It should be noted that Tekhnikabank was announced the "Bank of Year" in Ughur national prize series this year. Last year net profit of Tekhnikabank which obtained highest profit among private banks of Azerbaijan totaled AZM15.4 billion. As of January 1, 2006, Bank’s assets was AZM318 billion and population’s savings in the Bank amounted to AZM75 billion.
