Kharkov State Aviation Production Enterprise: "The air crash in Baku didn't prevent us to sign new contracts"

Kharkov State Aviation Production Enterprise (KSAPE) which produced the plane AN-140-100 will give no comment until the commission investigating the causes of the plane crash happened in Baku on 23 December gives its opinion.

As APA reports, the Head of KSAPE Department of Public Affairs Sergey Araslanov stated that the enterprise did all that was necessary, gave operative answers to all the questions of the commission.

Stating that it is very difficult process to investigate plane crash, S.Araslanov underlined that KSAPE was much concerned in the announcement of the causes of the crash.

"The opinions of the commission will put and end to different views and rumors", said S.Araslanov, stressing that the air crash had had no impact on the contracts of the enterprise and new contracts had been signed since the New Year.

The decision on purchasing the third plane under the treaty signed between Azerbaijan Airlines State Concern and KSAPE will be made after the commission gives its opinion.

The government has forbidden using the second AN-140-100 plane in the airpark of "AZAL" and purchasing a new AN-140-100 plane for the time being.
