Seminar on "Inflation and capability for international rivalry: methodology and experience of central banks" held in National Bank

As APA reports, the director of the Money Policy Department of NBA Khagani Abdullayev giving a report at the first part of the seminar talked about the main point of inflation as an economic category, described in examples the methodology of evaluation of the consumer price index (CPI) which is the main indicator of inflation, and gave information about the various indicators of CPI widely used in world's practice.

The first part of the seminar completed with discussion of significance and importance of using basis inflation as a main target of the money policy.

At the second part of the seminar the director of the Researches and Statistics Department of NBA Emin Huseynov gave a talk about the real effective exchange rate index as the indicator of the capability for international rivalry.

The conception of the capability for rivalry was explained and the essence of the influence of variation of the difference between the internal inflation levels and nominal exchange rate as the components of the real effective exchange rate index on the capability for rivalry of the country's economy was explicated in the talk.
