Strategic pipelines under threat of Armenian terror

According to Sharifov, it is difficult to imagine the difficulties the government faces in case of terror attacks, when the government does not possess enough logistics and well-trained human resources for removal of the results. "Azerbaijan remembers a barrel of gunpowder which can blast at any moment. This seismically dangerous zone, where around 1000 inconsiderable tremors, landslides, over-floods and different natural cataclysms are fixed a year," Sharifov underlined.

The Azerbaijani Vice Premier appreciated the French government's decision on technical assistance to Azerbaijan. Under the assistance they will deliver to Azerbaijan 300 special costumes for the employees of the civil defense, hold seminars for representatives of the state bodies in charge of defense of strategic facilities.

Addressing the opening ceremony the Rolan Blattman, the French Ambassador to Azerbaijan, the government laid a foundation for cooperation with Azerbaijan with the civil defense and the cooperation should be profitable for Azerbaijan, he noted.

Three experts from France and representatives of the relevant bodies of this country held an exchange of opinions and experience.

Representatives from the state commission on emergencies, the Foreign Ministry, the Defense Ministry, the Interior Ministry, the Transport Ministry, the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications, Ecology and Natural Resources will represent Azerbaijan in the event.
