SOCAR IT established

SOCAR IT LLC has passed the state registration in Azerbaijan, the Taxes Ministry reported on June 7.

The enterprise passed the state registration through the "Single Window" system of the Taxes Ministry on April 5, 2017. The authorized capital of the LLC is 50,000 manats ($29,373). The official representative of the company is Vusal Ahmadov.

SOCAR IT LLC will engage in organization of computer information systems, information security systems, communication between SOCAR enterprises, providing access to the Internet and centralized administration of the network infrastructure.

The Taxes Ministry further announced about the liquidation of SOCAR-KPS LLC.

SOCAR-KPS LLC was established in 2007 and was engaged in the construction of oil and gas wells, diagnostics, testing, adjustment and repair of oil and gas, industrial and drilling equipment and process units.

SOCAR is 100 percent owned by the government of Azerbaijan. SOCAR participates in joint ventures (including ventures in Georgia and Turkey), consortia, and operating companies established with SOCAR’s participation.

The company includes such production associations as Azneft (the enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerkimya (the chemical enterprises) and Azerigas (distributor of gas produced in the country), as well as oil and gas processing plants, service companies, and the facilities involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
