Azerbaijan,Turkey agree to cooperate in postal service

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Communications and High Technologies has signed a memorandum of understanding with Turkey’s Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications.

The memorandum was undersigned after the first meeting of ICT ministers of member-countries of the Turkic Speaking States Cooperation Council, held as part of BakuTel 2016, the 22nd Azerbaijan International Exhibition and Conference on Telecommunications and Information Technologies.

Under the memorandum, the sides agreed on cooperation in the postal service.

 The meeting participants also agreed on holding the second ICT meeting of the Turkic Council member countries next year in Turkey.

The 22nd Azerbaijan International Exhibition and Conference on Telecommunications and Information Technologies “Bakutel 2016” kicked off on November 29 in Baku.

More than 200 companies from Azerbaijan, Germany, Israel, Russia, Turkey and other countries have been brought together. There are leading ICT companies, mobile operators, communications operators, internet providers, system integrators, and distributors of well-known brands among exhibitors.

The exhibition will wrap up on December 2.
