French 'Alstom Transport' ready to work in Azerbaijan

French company "Alstom Transport" is ready to meet the demands of "Azerbaijani railways" CJSC, Senior vice-president of "Alstom Transport" on Russia and CIS, Thibault Desterakt told during the VI International Rail Salon of Engineering and Technologies held in Moscow.

"We have permanent contacts with the CJSC and we have great plans for Azerbaijan concerning locomotives," he said.

According to him, Azerbaijan is one of the priority countries for cooperating in CIS market.
"Currently we work on the proposals for city transport project in Ganja," Desterakt said.

According to him, Azerbaijan is an economically developed country with its own demands and the company works on what namely it can offer to this country.

Senior vice-president of "Alstom Transport" on Russia and CIS noted that he plans to visit Azerbaijan till the end of September and to solve all issues concerning not only railway and city transport.

Alstom Transport company develops and markets a complete range of systems, equipment and service in the railway industry. Alstom Transport company controls entire transport systems, including rolling stock, signaling and infrastructure, as well as offering "turnkey" solutions.
