Belarus out of intention to draw credit resources from Azerbaijan

Belarus does not plan to attract early credit resources from Azerbaijan, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makey told media today.

"Previously, when Belarus had certain difficulties associated with external economic problems, our country appealed to Azerbaijan," he said. "Azerbaijan decided to deliver a loan within a short period."

"We appreciate this assistance and support," he said. "We will always be a reliable partner for Azerbaijan."

Azerbaijan allocated a loan worth $200 million to Belarus for a period of 12 calendar days to pay for a debt to the Russian company Gazprom.
