The issue of continued Azerbaijani oil supplies via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline through Russia is being resolved on the basis of good neighborly relations, Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a joint press conference with Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, today.
Mammadyarov urged not to politicize the issue.
He said that the dialogue on this issue will be continued between the Azerbaijani State Oil Company and Russian Transneft. The issue of a commercial component is being resolved.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov added that the available agreement on oil transportation via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline was unprofitable for Russian operator - Transneft due to the usage of capacity.
