'Akkord' gets award for best construction company in South Caucasus - PHOTOS

On 11 April 2013  the Europe Business Assembly  organized the European Business Summit  in London, the United Kingdom. Directors and representatives of around 200 companies from 53 countries, prominent businessmen from the UK and Europe, as well as  representatives of different business circles attended the Summit.

After the conference and presentations held within the framework of the Summit, "Akkord" Corporation was given  "The best enterprise in the field of construction in South Caucasus and Central Asia" award and a medal for the best management. The award and medal were presented to Khagani Guluzade, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Akkord” Corporation in the  Institute of Directors. 

The award and medal were given to "Akkord" Corporation on the basis of data obtained through analytical research and surveys conducted  by the  Research Center operating under the Europe Business Assembly.

It should be noted that at present "Akkord" Corporation carries out various infrastructure projects not only in Azerbaijan, but also in Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey.  There is also a representative office of “Akkord” Corporation operating  in Frankfurt, Germany.  So far, the total amount of completed projects carried out by "Akkord" Corporation equals 1,7 billion U.S. dollars.  Currently, the total cost of the road, bridge, tunnel as well as water and sewage systems construction projects is estimated at 1,9 billion U.S. dollars.

"Akkord" Corporation has gained valuable experience in the implementation of projects financed by international financial institutions such as the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Asian Development Bank and the Islamic Development Bank. In recent years "Akkord" Corporation has achieved successful cooperation with large foreign companies,  such as  Bouygues (France), Freyssinet (France), Salini (Italy), Todini (Italy), Condotte (Italy), Herrenknecht (Germany) and SINOMA (China). Besides,  sustainable and effective relationships with the “big four” firms - Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC)  were established in audit and consulting services, and   with the Fitch Ratings agency in obtaining international credit rating.
