
In the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Macedonia, Nikola Gruevski on April 19, Baku is hosting an Azerbaijani-Macedonian business meeting, the Export and Investment Promotion Fund of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) reported on its website on Tuesday.
The meeting of businessmen from the two countries is being organised by AZPROMO with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan.
A presentation of business and investment opportunities of Macedonia will take place at the meeting.
To improve the flow of tourists and development of trade and economic cooperation, in March the Macedonian authorities once again extended the visa-free regime for citizens of Azerbaijan and other former Soviet countries, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, until March 15, 2014.
At the end of 2012, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $416.070 which fully consists of imports and is an increase of 9.5 times.
