Over 200 tourism companies to gather for capacious exhibition in Baku

The largest specialised tourist industry event in Azerbaijan and the entire Caucasus region, AITF 2013, will take place at the Baku Expo Centre from 4-6 April bringing together over 200 companies and organizations from 35 countries to present the latest tourism trends in travel, business travel, and medical and luxury tourism.

New destinations promise to be a hit at this year`s event. For the first time, representatives from Indonesia, Hungary, Slovenia, Thailand, Morocco, France, Canada and Tunisia will be there, hoping to maximise the flow of tourists from Azerbaijan.

The fair will also provide the opportunity to discover Azerbaijan`s tourist potential. A wide range of stands from: Khachmaz, Gusarov, Guba, Gabala, Gakh, Sheki, Gyandzha, Masalli, Ismayilli, Lankaran, Oguz, Naftalan, Balakan, Nakhichevan, Salyan, Sumqayit and other regions of Azerbaijan will enhance the tourist destinations on offer, for both domestic and international tour operators.

The fair will see returning exhibitors: Turkey, Georgia, the Czech Republic, Greece, UAE, Russia, Egypt, and Malaysia, amongst others.

Several major exhibitors have significantly increased the size of their stands - Turkey and Greece have doubled their stand size this year, which will undoubtedly enable them to welcome a greater number of visitors and vividly demonstrate their countries` rich potential.
Leading Azerbaijani travel companies are participating in the event, including SilkWay Travel, Millennium Tour, Gilan Turizm, N-Travel and Smart Holiday. The State Historical and Architectural Reserve of Icherisher will also participate.

Several airlines and air travel agencies will be represented by the 19 national groups at the event. Turkish Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Air Astana and Adria Airways (Slovenia) will present individual stands at the event. Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), the national air carrier, will present an extended stand to visitors at the show.

A wide range of travel services will be at the show, with an emphasis on current trends – airlines and aviation agencies; tour operators and travel agencies; hotels, hotel chains, health spas and country retreats; and companies specialising in adventure holidays, organising business trips, sports, environmental and educational tourism and luxury holidays.
The show will also feature Medical Tourism, as well as a new section, Real Estate Abroad. Greece, Cyprus and Turkey are all taking part in this section.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan has supported AITF since the event was launched. ITE Group PLC and Iteca Caspian LLC, ITE`s partner company, are the show`s organizers.
