
A draft intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of air transport between Azerbaijan and Sri Lanka has been initialed by the State Civil Aviation Administration (DMAA) of Azerbaijan and the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
According to DMAA, initialing of the document was the result of the visit to Colombo by DMAA director Fuad Guliyev.
Guliyev and chief executive officer of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka Chandrasena Nimalsiri discussed the possibility of using the international airports of Azerbaijan for transit flights in order to realize the great potential of tourism of Sri Lanka, as well as regular flights between the countries.
