Azerbaijan transports over 16.4 million tons of goods in January

In January 2013, the transport sector in Azerbaijan transported 16.4 million tons, according to the State Statistics Committee.

Of the total volume of goods transported in January, 70.5 percent fell to the private sector.

Some 51.1 percent of all cargo was transported by road, 30.8 percent - by pipelines, 11.6 percent - by railway and 6.5 percent - by sea.
