Producer prices for manufactured goods jump in Azerbaijan

The index of producer prices for manufactured goods in Azerbaijan in July 2012 rose by 5.7 percent compared with the previous month, the State Statistics Committee said on Tuesday.

Producer prices in the mining industry in July rose by 7.6 percent compared to the previous month, oil and gas production - by 7.6 percent, and the stone, sand, gravel, salt and other - 1.2 percent.

In July, the index of producer prices in processing industry have fallen compared to June by 3.9 percent, prices in the chemical industry and production of petroleum products - by 5.6 percent, construction materials - by 4.5 percent, production of rubber and plastic - 13.6 percent, food - one percent, furniture manufacturing - 0.6 percent and so on.

Prices in the production of leather, leather products and footwear in July 2012 rose by 7.1 percent, clothing - four per cent, tobacco products - 1.3 percent, printing - 0.7 percent, beverage - 0 2 percent, machinery and equipment - by 0.1 percent.

Prices for production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam rose by 0.2 percent.
