In January-July, Azerenergy (electricity generation and distribution in Azerbaijan) generated about 12.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity compared to about 11.7 billion kilowatt-hours during the same period of last year, Azerenergy said on Monday.
Of the total electricity generated in January-July, thermal power plants accounted for about 11.4 million kilowatt-hours and hydropower plants - about 1.4 million.
In July, Azerenergy generated about 1.7 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
Also planned power interchange with Russia, Georgia, Turkey, and Iran continued during this period.
