Nabucco ready to sell shares to Shah Deniz Consortium

Nabucco shareholders are ready to sell a part of shares in the projects to Azerbaijani side, said the Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH spokesman Chritstian Dolezal in the interview to APA.

Note that, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said that, Shah Deniz consortium would get share from that project when the main route would be selected to transport Azerbaijani gas to Europe. Nabucco spokesman said that company was ready for it: “Nabucco is ready for this and open for talks”.

Dolezal stressed that, the pipeline could be constructed as long as a decision is passed: “We are waiting to pass this decision soon and look forward that, the decision would be passed by July 2013 or earlier”.

Nabucco spokesman also spoke about the cost of pipeline but he did not disclose an exact figure. According to him, the latest version’s length is 1,300 km and this is cheaper than first version.

Speaking about both TANAP and Nabucco, Dolzeal noted that Nabucco was attractive: “Both projects are different for their features. I can not talk for TAP, but I can say that, Nabucco is an attractive”.
