More entrepreneurs prefer online business registration

About 65.8 percent of individual entrepreneurs registered with the Azerbaijani tax bodies in the first half of the year or 22,624 people have received their registration numbers (VOEN), by submitting applications in the electronic order, a report published in the Taxes Ministry's newspaper "Vergiler" said on Wednesday.

An online registration of legal entities (only limited liability companies with local capital) has started in the country this year. As of July 1, around 75 legal entities have been registered in the electronic order.

The Ministry of Taxes registered 36,644 business entities in the first half of the year via a "single window" principle, of which 2,271 are commercial legal entities, 34,373 - individual entrepreneurs.

The registration data are submitted to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the State Social Protection Fund, the State Statistics Committee and the State Customs Committee.

Around 18,068 check books were submitted to tax payers through a "single window" principle within the agreement with the Ministry of Economic Development in January-June.
