SOCAR conducts Eco monitoring

The Environment Department of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) conducts Eco monitoring at sea oil and gas field, March 8 and in the waters of the bay of Baku, SOCAR said on Wednesday.

During the monitoring seawater, zooplankton, phytoplankton and sediments were sampled from 15 stations. Relevant studies will be carried out on the basis of the samples.

The structure of SOCAR consists of production association Azneft (works for the extraction of oil and gas onshore and offshore), production association Azerkimya (chemical industry), production association Azerigas (gas distribution).
