Some 178 mln invested in Azerbaijan’s communication sphere

The Unities and ventures under the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies have carried out AZN 72.9 mln-investment during January-July, 2012, 18.7% from year earlier, Chief of the Board of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Vidadi Zeynalov.

According to him, totally AZN 178.3 mln was invested in this sector, which makes 4% of investment in country’s economy.

He also noted that, the unities and ventures under the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies received AZN 180 mln against the forecast of AZN 160.5 mln, up 14.3% from year earlier, 12.2% - from forecast.

These unities and ventures also transferred AZN 20.2 mln to state budget, AZN 7.4 mln – State Social Protection Fund.
