Vice-President of Azerbaijan Airlines, AZAL, Eldar Hajiyev, has said the company will bring the Boeing-787 Dreamliner to the country in 2014.
He said the new aircraft would enable AZAL to operate flights to the most distant cities around the world, including in Northern and Southern America, Asia and Europe.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a long-range, mid-size wide-body, twin-engine jet airliner. It seats 210 to 290 passengers, depending on the variant. Boeing states that it is the company`s most fuel-efficient airliner and the world`s first major airliner to use composite materials for most of its construction.
Earlier last month AZAL presented its new Boeing-767-300 ER liner. Named “Babek”, the airplane flew from Boeing`s plant in Seattle directly to Baku.
