Azerbaijan’s minister joins session of UN FAO council

Azerbaijan`s Agriculture Minister Ismat Abasov is attending the 144th session of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Council , which started in Rome, Italy. During the session, the Azerbaijani minister delivered a report on the 28th FAO Regional Conference for Europe held in Baku in April.

On the sidelines of the FAO Council, the minister Abasov met with FAO Director General Graciano Jose da Silva to discuss opening FAO coordination office in Baku, as well as Baku visits to be paid for this purpose and other issues of mutual concern.
