Azerbaijan sees rise in ICT Development Index

ICT Development Index rose 2.21% in Azerbaijan during the last five years. The State Statistical Committee told if IDI made 2.91% in 2007, this figure reached 5.12% as of the beginning of 2012.

At the same time, during this period, the number of computers per 100 people in the country grew by 3.2 times to 11.7. The number of internet users per 100 persons soared 4.6 times to 51. The number of international internet channels per head increased by 8.8 times to 6.4 Kbit / sec.

According to SSC, the number of computers per 100 people reached 0.5% as of beginning of 2011. This comparison has equaled 1.7% in 2007.
