Azerbaijan, Turkey eye ICT coop

Iltimas Mammadov, the Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technologies of Azerbaijan has met with the heads of the “Netash” Company of Turkey to discuss prospects of cooperation.

During the meeting, Azerbaijani ICT deputy minister updated the guests on the reforms being implemented in the country in the field of ICT and gained achievements.

“Turkey and Azerbaijan are strategic partners and these relations are also expanding on the backdrop of the development of the ICT sector in Azerbaijan” said the deputy ICT minister.
"The most leading Turkish companies operating in the ICT sphere are actively involved in local projects" Mammadov added.

In turn, Netash president Mujdat Altay praised the country's dynamic development, successful reforms carried out in a short period of time, highlighted the successful results in this sphere.
The sides achieved an agreement to hold wide-ranging meetings between the representatives of the Turkish “Netash” Comany and Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Information and Communication technologies in very short times.

"Netash" company has been established by Turkish Republic together with the Canadian company-manufacturer of the telecommunication equipment ?«NORTEL?».
