Baku to host Int'l Conference on oil and gas deposits

The first International Conference on “The hydrocarbon potential of the large depths: energy resources of the future - reality and forecast” will be held in Baku from June 12 to 14.

The conference is co-organized by Geology Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, Oil and Gas Research Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences and Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I.M. Gubkin.

The conference which is the first International Conference on this topic in the world will be attended by 9 countries. The conferees are from US, Great Britain, Russia, Germany and other countries.

The purpose of the conference which will be financed by the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and “bp” is to discuss the researching opportunities of the oil deposits in the depths of the Caspian Sea and other water basins of the world and share the scientific experience.
