
Caspian Power 2012, the Caspian Region's only specialised energy exhibition, opened June 5, 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan, bringing together local and international power industry experts. The event aims to promote new projects and technologies into Azerbaijan.
This year's exhibition space has doubled reflecting the solid growth of this event. Participants from Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine, along with the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources, Goknur Baki, Schneider Electric and Azenco STP Sumgait Technology Park have confirmed their participation.
The exhibition has been divided into sectors, covering power generation, electrical equipment, alternative energy as well as cable and wire products and lighting.
Alternative energy will be one of this year's key topics, with the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources running the latest projects in this field. Wind energy will also be a focal point, and Azenco STP Sumgait Technology Park will showcase their solar panels at the event. Caspian Power is organized alongside Caspian Oil and Gas, the region's largest oil and gas event. Caspian Power is organised by ITE Group plc and Iteca Caspian, with support from ITE's global network. The event is officially supported by Azerenerji and the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
