ADB, Azerbaijani banks to develop joint project plan

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan, ADB Financial Sector Chief Specialist Jurgen Conrad said at a meeting with banking community representatives in the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA), the ABA said on Friday.

Conrad informed the participants about the activities of the ADB in Azerbaijan in recent years and plans for the short term.

At the meeting the sides exchanged views on the difficulties of banks and other lending institutions in the global financial crisis and ways to overcome them.

The parties agreed to prepare a working plan for the implementation of joint projects in the near future.
